First Pregnancy

Hubby n me have been trying for so long to have our own baby & now finally we had it liao ....so happy .... this blog will show the journal of my pregnancy & my precious baby growing up journal ....

I started laughing and crying .This is indescribable joy! To have our own child… Now I start to understand the 1st joys of being a mother. :) ..... should be 5 weeks liao ......hope to see u soon ....

Today went for my first scan , haha finally saw my little baby but just a small sac only .....& now is 5 weeks 3 days ........ too bad still cant see the heartbeat yet ,need to wait other 2 weeks later .... will be back on 16.07.2010 for my next appointment ......

On the same day i had took up the antenatal packages for $749 at Thomson woman's clinic (Bukit Batok) Pte Ltd with Dr Wong . 

The packages included consultation for all visits , all ultrasound scans in clinic , multivitamins , urine tests & postnatal 1st consultations.Excludes : blood test , scan done in hospital , medication & DHA & delivery fee . For Hospital i can choose from this 4 hospital : Thomson Medical , Mount Alvernia, Mount Elizabeth & Gleneagles.

16.07.2010 (2nd appointment)

Today went to see my baby heartbeat .....I had been waiting for 2 weeks but it seems like 1mth so long. Hubby & me finally saw something Bling Bling & that is the heartbeat of my baby .So happy to see that.
Today Baby is 7 week 3 days /12 mm 

During my pregnancy; i felt so Tired & Sleepy  that made me felt like sleeping during working hours. Thirsty > Keep drinking water (which i don't  used to it) and end up running to the toilet.  Easy Hungry > As I'm feeding two & no longer one, made me felt I'm like a pig or monster. Haha.

But I'm lucky as i don't have any morning sickness during this periods. ;D

30.07.2010 (3rd appointment)

Baby now is 26 mm , 9 weeks & 3 days .

so happy to see my baby keep on growing up but at the same time also worry . cos sometime i will have blood during my urine, but don't know where goes wrong after doing so many test. My hubby had been scared by me.  Baby please be healthy.

 17.08.2010 (4th appointment at NUH for OSCAR test)

Baby now is 56mm , 12 weeks & 1 day

Baby today very naughty cos during the scan baby keep on swinging his/her hand around .Hubby & me see liao very happy & now can see all his/her nose, hands & legs was very cleared showed on the monitor & it has be 3 week after my last appointment , baby now look more n more bigger ......

This OSCAR test + blood test cost me $214 at NUH is cheaper then Thomson Medical. Thomson Medical charge $360

20.08.2010 (5th appointment)

My OSCAR result is out everything OK. During the scan baby very active, baby keeps on moving her/his hands ... Baby was 12 weeks now .....
Need to start taking other 2 medicine ( fish oil & multivitamins)during my second trimester. By this time i should be more relax but due to the 2 medicine i keep vomit out my breakfast.Maybe next appointment(17.09.2010) can see baby is a gal or boy , start playing guessing game gal or boy?

17.09.2010 (6th appointment)
baby now is 16 weeks .....

so excited today finally can know isit a gal or boy. But baby today too naughty close his legs dun let us see. When i start to feel sad, little baby open his legs , finally can see abit but still not very sure/clear but doc say 95 % is a boy , but is better to wait for my next appointment for detail scan .

14.10.2010 (20 weeks pregnancy) 

See how big is my bump , is getting heavier . Still cant feel baby moving! Hope to feel Baby move soon!

16.10.2010 (Going for detail scan at Thomson Medical) 

Today baby Ashley is 20 weeks 2 days

Haha so happy today finally can know baby gender! Is boy ! 

This detail scan cost me $126.25 at Thomson Medical, still have to go GP for blood test. I hate blood test ! Had my blood test done at Family Care Clinic Pte Ltd which i always went & cost me other $100

Baby now was 21weeks & 2days , 600g .........

My detail scan & blood test result everything fine.
Next appointment will be 3 weeks later , so long ！

Baby now was 24weeks & 2days , 630g ,185mm ...........

Baby has been facing down for past & this check up. So sad cant see baby clear, hope next check up baby Ashley (we have decide Ashley to be my Baby christian name)will face up n let daddy & mummy see .Have to wait for other 3 weeks for the next check up again.

 

10.11.2010 (24 weeks pregnancy)

Is getting heavier & heavier, don't feel like walking & working. Still have to go shop for Baby Ashley things(eg: baby cot , clothed , milk bottle , pump n more)

21.12.2010 (30 weeks pregnancy)

Feeling more & more excited... other 7-10weeks my little precious coming out

Have start shopping for my baby thing & start to collect old baby clothes & other old stuff from frenz.

 very hard to decide which milk bottle! so use the most popular one! 

Avant Newborn set $59 having sales still got 20% off. set includes 2 Feeding Bottles (260ml/9oz) with Newborn Teats, 2 Feeding Bottles (125ml/4oz) with Newborn Teats , other 2 Newborn Teats, Newborn Soother (pacifier) & Bottle Brush.

I have decide to breastfeed my baby so i need a breast pump too. Since i had brought Avent milk bottle so i also buy Avent pump. Breast pump set cost me $399 ,set includes 1 single electronic breast pump ,1 Feeding Bottles (125ml/4oz), 1set comfort breast shell , 1 set nipple protectors, 2 set disposable pads & 1body cream.

 luckily my auntie give me a used Electric Steam sterilizer. Which save me $180++

and a used Pigeon warmer. 

i still bought 2 set of new clothes & 2 set Mittens and booties, 2 set blankets(1set for discharge and other for his Baby shower), , cot mat, small little pillow with hollows in the center ,bath Tub ,Johnson n Johnson shower foam ,face towels ,towels for bath,thermal flask, cotton buds, facial cottons - to clean baby’s face, Komodo baby detergent, Tollyjoy Antibacterial Baby Accessories & Vegetable Liquid Cleanser ,sleeping blankets &Komodo baby wipes (i bought at Watson $2each buy 10 free 1-every few months they have promotion) ... cant remember the rest!

During my third trimester start to have swollen ankies , can't sleep well at nite, baby is getting heavier, feel pressure increased at my lower abdomen & I'm having very bad stretch marks at my tummy

baby now was 34weeks & 3days , 2013g ,280mm...........

Hubby last min need to travel to Thailand so i went check up alone today . Baby Ashley keep on popping me when doctor was scanning. Another 4 to 6 week is baby due date.
next appointment other 10 days more - 31.01.2011

very fast my baby going to give birth, so better prepare all the baby clothes wash before Chinese New Year coming & I have gather all my thing that i need for my hospital stay
